Entering on the 10th anniversary of its founding, DSU declares
the slogan “Top Ten & To the World” and
has steadily carried out the best education with optimum environment,
best content, and best services.
From the beginning of its founding, DSU has pursued its direction
towards specialization, informatization, and globalization in
the fields of IT, Film&Image, and Design with priority.
As the result, DSU became the best in these fields among Korean
universities.
Especially the establishment of Im Kwon Taek College
of Film & Performing Arts demonstrates that Dongseo
is the specialized University in the Film and Image.
On the one hand, with the agreement with 71 Universities of
18 countries including America, Japan, China, Germany, and Finland,
and the other hand, with the agreement with about 100 companies
around the world, the students of Dongseo University have worked
as interns on 5 Oceans and 6 Continents.
On the basis of such achievements, Dongseo University held World
University Presidents Forum 2006 entering on the 15th commemoration
of its foundation, and announced "Declaration for
Globalization" to jointly carry out Global Campus,
Global Standard Education, and Global Service. It was the emotional
gladness that proved the power and infinite possibility of DSU.
The strategy for globalization by DSU suggests a new paradigm
beyond the existing frames by other universities. Especially
the programs, SAP-USA(Study Abroad Program USA) and SAP-China
will enable our students to access an advanced learning freely
and to have an eye for the world. With the full operation of
the project for
globalization, over 2,000 students will have the opportunity
to study on overseas campuses every year.
