It strives to educate the students to build character on the basis
of the Christian Ideology and to foster talent who can serve God
and mankind.
It has developed its own unique teaching method, educational environment,
administration system, evaluation as well as innovative curriculum
reflecting its own characteristics and creativity.
It has international academic exchange programs with 63 renowned
universities around the world.
The program includes the joint degree programs with the Technical
University of Berlin in Germany, University of Erlangen in Germany,
University of Oulu in Finland, Ritsmeikan University in Japan,
the Nagaoka Institute of Design in Japan, and the Multimedia University
of Malaysia. It also offers distance image lectures, student exchange
programs, joint practical training, and credit sharing programs
with many other universities worldwide.
In addition, the University has established its overseas campus
at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in China through the
academic exchange agreement. About 200 students have been exchanged
for a semester every year.
It was selected as one of the "Best Education Innovation
Universities" uniquely in Busan and Kyungnam Province by
the Ministry of Education in 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2001. And
besides, Dongseo University was selected for "Regional
University Support Program" twice in 2003 and this year.
In 2006, it accomplished the splendid feat of winning in the
field of vision by the Minister of Education.

Ubiquitous Education Center, Dongseo Media Center, RIC(Regional
Innovation Center for Ubiquitous Appliance, which applies the
Ubiquitous Appliances in the regional industry and leads its Innovation),
Digital Contents Center(which is planning, producing, and distributing
the digital contents for games, animations, and digital movies
etc.), DIDIC(Digital Image Design Innovation Center, which is
design innovation center intended to support Small & Medium
sized companies and regional digital design in the fields of Digital,
Image, and Character), Dream E. Valley(Dream Engineering Valley,
which is the project for finding and supporting prospecting preliminary
company founders and venture company founders), and high tech
visual classrooms.
Dongseo University, which is a Global Campus and Digital Campus,
